Mila has many quirks, but perhaps one of my favorites is her obsession with mannequins. Every time we go to a store, she stops to touch the mannequins. I have no idea why, but I guess she probably likes recruiting friends who are unlikely to boss her around.
It stands to reason that Mila would extend her mannequin love to a statue, And she did.
The little boy looking to the sky wasn't supposed to be the feature of the art installation, but it was for Mila. While everyone else was looking to the sky, she had a new friend to make.
After Mila was done confirming that the little boy wasn't going to start chatting up a storm, she started chatting up a storm. Mila stood there in the middle of the Carnegie Mellon campus and told her new (statue) friend all about the most important things in life.
She told him that she really likes candy.
She informed him that there were snacks in the car.
She showed him that she was wearing bunny boots.
She explained that her sister braided her hair.
And she told him that I was wearing purple underwear.
I mean ... I just ... I'm okay with her sharing that detail with strangers because WHATEVER, but I feel like there might need to be a payback at some point. You can't just go around telling statues about your mom's underwear, can you?
