One Dream Begins as Another Ends

The dream is over. Someone else has bought that which would haven been mine. I stalked it for weeks on eBay, watching as the price fluctuated from $150 to $200 to $135 and everywhere in between. I waited as it was continuously didn't sell and was relisted, holding out hope for a price somewhere in the range of $20 to $30. (Remember, I'm cheap. Even when I really want something. ESPECIALLY when I only want it so I can scare people all over Pittsburgh.)

Sadly, she has found a home, at the low, low price of $150.

It just wasn't meant to be. OH! the fun that creeptacular doll and I would have had together. I'm sad.

But, I have a new dream! Now I'm stalking a new love. So far, the seller wants far more than I'm willing to pay, but I'm patient. Who wouldn't be willing to wait for this freaky little face? And, who would be willing to pay over $150 for it?

*shudder*

Great. Now I have insomnia and nightmares. Is that even possible?

Helllllllo night terrors.

June 13, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterWoy

I'm just a little worried about you . . . just a little.

Oh, Piglet . . .

June 13, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterLaski

See you even made Puppy flip out. THAT'S DISGUSTING. and shudder.

They have to be made by the same person. There can't be two people that create those things that look too much alike.

And you laugh at me for looking at roadkill. At least it's a natural part of life. Those things AREN'T.

June 13, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterKaren

ARGH! {shakes fist in general direction of Pittsburgh}

I came over here after a little shot of courage (or glass o' chardonnay) and still got the bejeezuz scared outta me. That second one?...so creepy it's making my butt twitch!

June 14, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterColleen

@Karen--It is the same seller. I think her crappy cell phone camera adds to the mystique. She has one more right now, but it's not #1 on my list at the moment.

June 14, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterBurgh Baby's Mom

I will give you $10 dollars to never post those pictures again!
Terrrrrrifying

you really need to stop doing this to me! I open up my google reader and there are those terrifying picture staring right at me. Ahh!!

At least Piglet isn't quite so on deaths bed looking....but still creepy.

June 14, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterPam

Seriously? I'm gonna have nightmares tonight.

If I haven't already told you I LOVE your header!

June 14, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterKathryn

I wonder how you browse these dolls and are able to sleep at night. Oh wait - you don't sleep...I forgot. Since the toddler is keeping you up, you'll creep us out with these dolls so we can all be sleepless together? Brilliant! LOL!

June 14, 2008 | Unregistered Commenterwendy

I like how the new one's name is "Piglet". Seems appropriate. Ugh. Can you imagine walking into that house and having all those creepy dolls staring back at you? Chucky's got nothing on these dolls.

June 14, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterDebbie Yost

Ooooh, just when I got the homicidal doll nightmares to stop, here they come again! SCARY!

D

June 14, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterMomma

This is scaring me. Who thinks up these things?

I think we should maybe all kick in $10 each and buy the darn things just to get the pictures of them off the internet.

June 14, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterLeanne

Hahaha! That second one looks a little like Howdy Doody. remember him or am I just old?

June 14, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterBren

Oh god...not again! I am going to hope and hope that the price doesn't fall. There is no way I would be okay with you bringing that thing anywhere. Especially if it got its own stroller.

June 14, 2008 | Unregistered Commenterallisonsays.com

Maybe collectively, as blog friends, we can hold an intervention for you. We'll find you a new hobby. One that doesn't involve things that are creepy.

June 14, 2008 | Unregistered Commenterjust jamie

LOL, I'm in with just jamie - I'd love to visit without having a hald heart attack every time. How about etsy? LOL

June 14, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterElisa

I'm in with Jamie on the intervention. I'll bring the wine.

June 14, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterCheri

Oh my lands! This has got to stop! I'm starting to flinch when I go to your blog :-)

June 14, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterVerWaynia

that looks like the giant from jack in the bean stalk in one of my kids story books. how awful. and someone will buy that? i would not be able to sleep if i knew that was in the house!

June 14, 2008 | Unregistered Commenterkay

That one doesn't look nearly as realistic. More goofy looking. Don't get me wrong - it still has the ugh factor ...

June 14, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterFlea

I just want to know where that doll ended up. I imagine a very strange house with tons of similar "things" on display. I would assume owned by a very strange person who doesn't get out of the house much.

Just my thoughts. I just can't fathom that someone would buy that thing for a child.

June 14, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterIrene

Nightmares.....thanks! LOL

June 14, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterTammy

Why must you keep tormenting us?

June 14, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterErin

I agree with Irene . . . I want a peek inside the home your beloved went to. The winning bid wasn't made by N. Bates, was it?

Seriously. What have we ever done to you to deserve these freaky doll pics?!

:)

June 14, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterKellie

Good God, who in the hell in their right mind would buy one of these things for $150...I think someone would have to pay me $200 to take it off their hands. And then I would hide it on my highest closet shelf never to be seen again!

This gives new meaning to the word creepy!

June 14, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterMelissa

Eeeekkkk.....

We must find these people. Who buy them. Seriously.

June 14, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterOHmommy

stop

the

madness!!!!

i was hoping for a good night's sleep tonight. i'm thinking you do this to get me back for laughing at you for toddler night dramas.

June 14, 2008 | Unregistered Commenterthe planet of janet

That is so funny! creepy but still funny. And much like a car accident...you don't want to look because it might be horrible but at the same time you just have to see.

I think you should add the picture of the one you lost to your layout, everyone will just love it! And besides it might freak out some new comers to your blog and spike interest.

June 14, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterMy boys are Army Brats

He looks like one of the 7 Dwarfs! Was there a "Creepy"? I thought of you on Thursday. We went to the Arts Festival. Did you see the Kreepy Doll booth? That really cracked me up!

June 15, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterJen

with the piglet hat and everything. How do you find these? Do you google "really ugly baby dolls?"

June 15, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterDapoppins

Okay, Can I just say that these freaky things COMPLETELY cured my baby fever? Oh, and to accidentally click and make the picture bigger? Oh the nightmares.

June 15, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterOutnumbered2to1

AACK!! I couldn't let this pass... Had to post my response on my blog to give the full effect. heh heh heh... Hint: It has something to do with this critter's parentage.

(Sorry - I deleted the first one because I forgot to put my link in!)

June 15, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterDamama T

Damama sent me. Sometimes I wonder why I listen! I could just about cope with the first one - just! - but not the second. Give me dragons any day!

June 16, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterDragonstar

Well, honey, you can come visit my new little baby anytime you like.

Ha. Not. I'd love to know who is buying these things. Then again, maybe I'd rather not know. Something tells me it might be like that one X Files episode set in Western/rural PA with the deformed mom who was kept under the bed. These baby dolls could certainly be her offspring.

*double shudder*

June 16, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterSusan

'Kay I want my momma.
Those dolls freak the HELL out of me.
Meanie!

June 16, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterMarmarbug

Ohmygawd, ohmygawd, ohmygawd! I didn't think it was possible but that second doll is actually SCARIER than the first!

June 16, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterSherE1

um, that's horrid. I can't believe you stalked that ugly dead baby! tee hee. I think that's why I love coming here so much though...

June 16, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterBirdie

HYSTERICAL...Please DON"T buy that horrible thing...are you planning a Halloween event?
Blessings, E

June 16, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterElizabeth

That is a sick and twisted dream there.

June 16, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterShellie

We cleaned out osme bags of old toys and stuff before I left for vacation and I found a creepy doll that I totally forgot we had. I hope mr b didn't throw it away while I was gone, because I can't wait to take a photo and put it on a shirt or something for you.

June 17, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterGina

Just when I let my guard down, you sneak another in there. Great, back to the Dr for meds.
