Easy Iced Cappaccino with Maxwell House International (And a Giveaway!)
I’ve always said that Alexis will change the world, but it wasn’t until recently that I realized she already has. She has single-handedly managed to turn my world upside-down, and not just because she’s a small human that I’m responsible for raising.
She turned me into a coffee drinker.
All by herself.
I never liked the stuff before she came along, but when I returned to work after she was born, desperation struck. She Who Doesn’t Believe in Sleep drove me to considering new options in my attempts to stay awake and coherent. Once I found one coffee drink that I liked, I was standing atop a slippery slope. Since then, I have fallen into the abyss of NEEEED. I NEEEEEED COFFEE.
Funny how finding out I would have another small human to care for screwed that all up. I’m an all-or-nothing person, apparently, so I have completely given up caffeine while pregnant. I have tried a few decaf options at my favorite coffee shop and with my favorite make-at-home brew, but I didn’t like anything. Or, more precisely, the Tiny Human objected to the idea.
You guys, I tried a decaf pumpkin spice thing and wanted to hurl. The Tiny Human has ruined me.
So, I gave up coffee.
Fortunately, I’m not all that good at giving up. Even more fortunately, I was sent some samples of Maxwell House International.
COFFEE IS BACK IN MY LIFE, YOU GUYS!
It turns out that the Tiny Human does not object to plain decaf coffee with a few spoonsful of Maxwell House International Sugar-free Decaf French Vanilla Café stirred in, just like you would creamer. Not only is there no objection, it actually tastes really amazing! In honor of Valentine's Day, Maxwell House International would like to encourage us all to try something new by adding some Maxwell House International to add a little romance to plain old coffee. Seriously, it's delicious, like adding a creamer, but without all of the heaviness.
But wait. THERE’S MORE.
You guys, iced cappuccinos are back in my life. HOORAY!
Here’s the recipe I have been using. It makes a magnificent cappuccino in no time.
Iced Cappuccino
2 teaspoons Maxwell House International (Suisse Mocha is my favorite)
1/2 teaspoon sugar
3 tablespoons warm water
Ice
6 ounces milk
- Find a sealable container. Trust me on this, you need to do some moving and shaking and a coffee cup with a lid won’t cut it. Don’t ask how I know.
- Throw the Maxwell House International, sugar, and warm water in your container. Now shake, shake, shake until everything is frothy.
- Fill your cup with ice and pour the frothy stuff on top.
- Add milk.
- Adjust to taste as needed. For example, if I’m using French Vanilla Café, I might add a bit more sugar.
If you want to give this magical concoction a try, Maxwell House International is here to help. They are offering samples and coupons. Just run over here and request one, but hurry! Supplies are limited!

Vanilla Nut!
I do the same thing with my plain coffee stirring in Suisse Mocha and the coffee I so desperately need is so much more amazing.
So I'm French Vanilla type of girl. And it's ice coffee for me every. single. morning.
If it's vanilla or caramel, or the mixture of the two, I'm a definite sucker! However, I've been branching out now that I've got a Keurig and I'm all things double mocha now. Mmm chocolate.
So sad Tiny Human doesn't like coffee! My baby bump thankfully doesn't object to white chocolate mochas, which are one of my faves. :)
I like lots of different flavors but my favorite right now is Café Vienna.

I really don't like flavored coffee at all. HOWEVER, I've always been a fan of Maxwell House International Suisse Mocha. Yep, I'm weird. I only like THEIR flavored coffee :-)
i like French Vanilla

My favorite flavored coffee drink is just a bold, dark roast with a splash of cream!

Thank you :)
Peppermint mochas are usually my favorite.
Just plain ol' good French Vanilla for me.
I love drinking "Coffeehouse" coffee right in my own kitchen and best of all, for a fraction of the cost. Great product for us Kaffe lovers.
My favorite has always been French Vanilla.

I think I might like the Suisse Mocha in my coffee!
Mmm...The Vanilla Caramel sounds fabulous. I want a mug right now!

Fun post. My (reasonably) innocent pleasures are the coffee-tasting chemicals inside these little square tins. (Sure proof: 28 empties now house my extra spices.) If I win this giveaway, I'll spend the $100 gift card on 25 more spice-boxes-to-be. If my friend Anthony sees this, all I can say is "If I had your Nespresso machine, I'd wouldn't resort to this."
Vanilla Caramel - it sounds like dessert!
Hazelnut or French Vanilla for me!
I like the hazelnut --- would love to try the Café Vienna.
Definitely Vanilla Caramel!
My favorite flavored coffee is Irish cream but I will definitely check out this French vanilla!
A couple months ago I discovered Maxwell House Vanilla Nut in kcups and I absolutely love it! I definitely need to give this a try, that iced cappuccino sounds amazing! I am partial to the Vanilla Nut, but Vanilla Caramel sounds great too :)
My favorite flavored coffee drink is a toss up between Vanilla Caramel and French Vanilla

My mom used to pick up all the different flavors for me to try at the discount grocery store in town—my favorite was the Dark Mayan Chocolate. However, for the sake of this post I whipped up the Vanilla Caramel and it tasted great. Needs another teaspoon of mix or less milk, though.
*Cappuccino heh heh.
Love hazelnut lattes - would be nice to create one that doesn't cost 4.00 a cup
I am not a coffee drinker, and have never tried any flavored coffee. But you make these sound so good, that I want to try them. The Vanilla Caramel sounds particularly appealing, so I would try it first.
