Just In Case You Were Worried

It turns out that The Internet is really very concerned that Penny can't see through all of that fur.

As I have assured the eight (yes, EIGHT!) people who have emailed me to say she needs a haircut, the pup can see just fine.

Her hair isn't actually in her eyes. There is some sort of magic going on there that I don't pretend to understand, but I know that if she spots an ice cube from across a room, it's hers. If she sees a single flick of a cat tail, she's off and chasing. And if she sees water coming out of a hose, LOOK OUT.

It is her job to get as wet as possible.

She chases water droplets all over the yard.

She bats her big foofy paws at the water.

And she uses the hose as a water fountain. Because, you know, we never let her have water in the house. Obviously.

The best thing about her water obsession is that she LOVES when you full blast spray her in the face.

Seriously. She. LOVES. It.

So don't worry about Penny and her foofiness. She can see just fine. Promise.

I love these water action pictures. I just had to google "do tibetan terriers shed" because that is a lot of foofiness! Every time I see pictures of Penny I think of the movie Benji.

My Tibbie hates getting wet. She loves being wet, just hates getting that way;-) And yes, she sees just fine through all that hair. I tell people that hair is her built-in version of sunglasses - protects her eyes. They were designed for Tibet - bright light is the norm, so nature evolved sunshades for them!

She's adorable. And Tibbie smiles are the best.

I'm pretty sure that one of my 7th grade students has that same haircut! He too is a shaggy puppy!
