To Answer One Question

I turned off the video just then because Alexis was CRYING. She was alternating between hugs and tears and hugs and tears. The right thing to do in those situations is to stop everything, ask what's up, and deal.

I wasn't prepared for her answer, though.

"MOM, these are tears of joy," Alexis said.

So there. That. That's how my 7-year old made me a sobby mess for an hour.
